GR Tours, Ice Cream Crawl

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Join us Saturday August 29th (through Friday Sept 4th) for the first GR Tours, Ice Cream Crawl! Featuring 5 styles of cold treats, from our favorite local Blooming Grove sweeteries.

We will be hosting an Ice Cream Crawl with Clarke’s Cafe, 94 Pitch & Putt, Shakersmoothie, The Ice Mother & Weir’s Ice Cream. Each location will offer a different and diverse style of “ice cream”. Featuring sandwiches, cones, smoothies, Italian ices and cakes!

You can make it an adventure with your kids, a date with your best friend, a meet up with other families…. Do whatever works for you and is fun! Guests will be given a map, and can go to all in one day or space it out over a week. Please note The Ice Mother will be on site at the start of the event only on Saturday August 29th in Vern Allen Park from 12:30-1:30.

We love seeing small business support small business, and in the spirit of that…..

we also have a few wild card and dietary consideration additions:

It’s a family affair, so of course we have a doggie bone w/ice cream from Pitch & Putt for your four legged babies. 

You can keep the fun going at home with decorate it yourself ice cream cone cookies kit from Sweets & Things by Sylvia. 

As ice cream and crepes are a perfect pairing we had to include them too from Gigi’s Goodies. We wanted to make sure no one is left out, our friend at Roohan’s Cake House is offering GF & Allergy free cupcake cones that are absolute delicious!

And to help with the season change Trailside Treats, another local Wizard alumni has a Pumpkin Pie Sundae that has us dreaming of fall!

We are living in unprecedented times ….

Finding safe and fun activities to do with our families is not as easy as it once was. Blooming Grove houses more ice cream, shake, and cold sweet eats than most. In our current time of no summer festivals, we could not be more excited to host an Ice Cream Crawl in our home town and featuring some of our favorite local small businesses.
