Join us Saturday October 10th for GR Tours, Fiesta Empanada event!
Featuring 13 empanadas, from 6 of our favorite local eateries.
Featuring 13 empanadas, from 6 of our favorite local eateries.
We will be hosting Fiesta Empanada with Amada’s Kitchen, Christopher’s Bistro, Clayton Delaneys, Clarke’s Cafe, La Villa Mexican Restaurant & Somni Restaurant. Each location will make their fun style of empanadas and will be providing safe drive up/curbside take out service.
Food Crawl Option- For the full experience! $50
You can make it an adventure with your kids, a date with your best friend, a meet up with other families, a picnic in the park, a take out meal in the car; whatever works for you and is fun!. You will be given a start location with a map, a planned out route, and a comments/review form (for future ordering). It’s like an empanada festival, meets a scavenger hunt and a food crawl! This is self driven, personally paced event.

The Couch Crawl Options – Not feeling the food crawl, but want the Empanadas! $55
Just order it and pickup everything (except alcoholic beverages) at Vern Allen that day.
Warm up all the empanada in the oven and enjoy. No alcohol can be ordered but you can get Traveling Spirits artisan drink pouches and add your own spirits!

Adult beverages to go will be offered from some venues, as we have to enjoy this limited take out time (alcohol can not be consumed while driving and is not available for the Couch Crawl).
You can also do a make your own (add the booze) beverage from Traveling Spirits.
Its a family fun affair with the Decorate your Cookie Kit from Sweet Things By Sylvia and no empanada event is complete without Churros from Amada’s!

Finding safe and fun activities to do with our families is not as easy as it once was. Being able to take home delicious hand crafted cocktails has never been an option before. Supporting local small businesses that collaborated to create this event and offer all the above is how we make the best of our current situation.

I am a huge fan of small business, eating local and creating fun events. That said, I could not be more excited about hosting a food crawl in my home town and featuring multiple eateries that I really enjoy.
